There is shelling on Crescent Beach and Turtle Beach. Check the tide tables for the best time to go. Venturing out one and half miles north to Siesta Key Village or to the south end of the island enjoy delicious local restaurants, shopping, and a grocery market. You can catch the Siesta Key Breeze trolley for free on Midnight Pass Road, Beach Road or Ocean Blvd. Check out the Siesta Key Farmers Market for produce, shopping and art every Sunday from 8AM to 12:00pm. Siesta Key has boating, parasailing, fishing, and hiking in Myakka River State Park. Downtown Sarasota and St. Armand's Circle has wonderful restaurants and shopping.
